AST Signs scored a double success in the North West section of the Future Manufacturing Awards, run by the EEF.
The Penrith firm, which makes specialist signage, interior branding and vehicle wrapping, won the Developing People Award for the manufacturer that has done the most to build skills, harness talent and develop its employees.
It also won the Partnerships Award for the company that has made the biggest strides in promoting engineering and manufacturing careers by working with education providers, or engaging with the local community.
Ast Signs will now compete for the national titles in London in January.
Adam Wellings, commercial director, said: “These awards are testament to our hard working and dedicated team, and we are delighted to have won. This puts us on the map as a modern and innovative company. We can’t wait to share this news with staff, customers and suppliers.
"We’re all looking forward to the national finals to see how we measure up against the rest of the UK.”
