A NEW laundry business has opened in Brampton's industrial estate.
Brampton Laundry Ladies officially opened in the Townfoot Industrial Estate on Tuesday, April 2, and offers domestic and commercial services.
The new business is owned by trio Angela Miller, Carol Splinter, and Simone Robinson, who are looking to make Brampton Laundry Ladies a success after recently being made redundant.
After a busy opening day, Angela was on hand to thank the local community for their initial support and backing.
She said: "It was very busy. There were a lot of nice customers coming in with cards and it was brilliant.
"People have been very supportive and we have had a lot of patient customers as well as family and friends who have supported us as well.
"We got made redundant from our last jobs and we have all worked together for the last two and a half, three years and have decided to start up ourselves."
The business currently serves a number of local holiday lets and bed and breakfasts as well as carrying out domestic services such as general laundry, ironing, and dry cleaning.
After the Brampton Laundry Ladies' launch, Angela also spoke about the warm welcome they had received from their fellow Townfoot Industrial Estate inhabitants.
She said: "They have all been very supportive and they have all been lovely.
"Everyone has come and introduced themselves and it has been really nice and very welcoming.
"It is like a little community here and it is so nice."
